PROJECT ATX6 is both an Austin music export project and a music documentary in the making. Each year, Project ATX6 selects 6 emerging Austin musicians to travel to international music festivals, attend business, marketing, and management workshops, and participate in a documentary film with the purpose of capturing and archiving Austin musician on the world stage.

As export INCUBATOR that puts education into practice, Project ATX6 directly impacts the lives and careers of musicians in several ways.

• ATX6 aids in career development through touring experience while reaching international audiences;
• ATX6 gives musicians experience the empowerment to lead their own careers in the year after the project;
• ATX6 brings international exposure for Austin’s live music community while showcasing Austin artists as musical ambassadors;
• ATX6 helps musicians forge relationships with international cities, festivals, and musicians around the world.
As a DOCUMENTARY in the making....
Project ATX6 captures the entire experience of Austin musicians on the road to international music festivals. We film the travel, the performances, and the personalities through interviews which are Austin's real I've music community. The archives alone are priceless, and Project ATX6 has countless hours of footage, performances, and interviews being edited into a documentary to show the development of the artists within the project.

PROJECT ATX6 HAS REDEFINED THE WAY AUSTIN MUSICIANS GAIN EXPOSURE LOCALLY AND GLOBALLY

“There is no greater advertisement for Austin's creative spirit than the ATX6. Live music is Austin’s greatest renewable resource, and ATX6 is helping make it our most popular export." - Austin Mayor, Steve Adler.
